Boston bombing trial: Jurors set to begin diliberations

After weeks of testimonies in the Boston bombing trial the jurors are set to begin
deliberations Tuesday for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.  He faces life in prison or the death penalty for working with his brother to explode bombs in the Boston bomb back in 2013. "The defendant thought that his values were more important than the people around him. He wanted to awake the mujaheddin, the holy warriors, so he chose Patriots Day, Marathon Monday" said assistant US attorney Aloke Chakravarty.  Bomb survivors and victim's families were there through the whole thing comforting each other.  Chakravarty also said "He chose a day when there would be civilians on the sidewalks and he targeted those civilians: men women and children." "He wanted to terrorize this county. He wanted to punish America for what it was doing to his people."  The prosecutor showed a picture of Dzhokhar and his brother in the marathon crowd.  The day of the bombing Chakravarty said "They felt they were soldiers. They were the mujaheddin and they were bringing their battle to Boston."

  1. Be sure you are summarizing events into your own words. (Less than half should be a quote.)
